Job Description

Massachusetts-based Alexandra Construction serves as a Full-Service general contractor, managing and constructing diversified projects across the United States for the last 25+ years. Our construction team includes members who specialize in both ground-up builds and renovations of commerical, industrial, laboratory and multi-unit residential projects.  

Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Construction Project Manager will ensure the successful transition of each project from the development conception phase through project completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight of assigned construction projects and ensure that the critical schedule dates are met, the client is extremely satisfied, the budget is managed properly, and the finish product is of the highest quality.  

A successful candidate will be able to manage up to two projects in different stages of construction, ranging in size. Some projects will be in the design/preconstruction phase, and others in the active construction phase. The ideal candidate will make an immediate impact and bring extensive knowledge and experience in managing a project through different phases.

The Construction Project Manager must have the ability to, in conjunction with the Project Superintendent, develop, and manage construction schedules and control the construction budget for the projects they are assigned as well as identify and manage risk at an early stage. The Construction Project Manager will work through design and constructability issues and best practices with the design team, Superintendent, and sub-contractors and will be expected to work in a collaborative team environment with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements


  • Review sub-contractor proposals and negotiate all sub-contracts for the jobs.
  • Maintain contact with all sub-contractors and work to develop existing and new sub-contractor relationships.
  • Attend and represent the company at project meetings.
  • Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of the projects within time and budget. This includes negotiating and writing sub-contract agreements, drafting and submit monthly requisitions, and drafting change order all in a timely manner.
  • Documentation management such as reviewing job submittals and assembling and developing closeout packages, maintain RFI, PCO, submittal, and 5K Logs.
  • Initiate, cultivate and maintain contact with client representatives, A/E personnel, sub-contractors and other professionals during the project.


  • Experience with design-build commercial construction is ideal.
  • Must be a communicative team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, superior communication skills and be able to motivate personnel working in or for the company.
  • Ability to produce successful projects that satisfy the client and are profitable for the company.
  • General knowledge of the local, state and federal building codes and regulations impacting the commercial construction.
  • Seven or more years of experience in the field of commercial construction is required.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, P6 Scheduling, Sage Estimating and Procore Project Management.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license is required.
  • Valid, unrestricted Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License is required.
