Our Transportation Coordinator Will:
Receive product delivery orders from internal and external sources. Work with fulfillment centers, carriers sales personnel to coordinate transportation activities in accordance delivery schedules
Arrange schedules and dispatch appropriate transport carriers and ensure outbound and inbound equipment drops and swaps are made each day.
Liaise with internal and external contacts to exchange information and to verify delivery requirements.
Receive, input, and maintain carrier records
Work with Transportation Managers to approve and submit freight invoices for payment.
Schedule after hours shipping and track carrier follow through. Ensure fulfillment centers are alerted to potential problems.
Work with various shipping platforms to maintain existing user information and set up new users
Provide vendors with proper routing for merchandise shipments to the fulfillment centers.
Always be looking at processes with a continuous improvement eye.
Our Transportation Manager Has:
1 to 2 years of Transportation Coordination experience
An advanced understanding of Excel and 3rd party analytical tools
High critical thinking skills
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
The highest level of attention to detail
The ability to interface directly with carriers and other supply chain service providers
Worked in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-driven environment
The ability to occasionally work a schedule outside of normal business hours
